Information Technology is happy to announce that we successfully negotiated with Microsoft to make selected software available to students at very low cost. This is a wonderful opportunity for Stellenbosch University students to gain access to the latest Windows and Microsoft Office software.

Microsoft products listed below, will be made available to students because the university purchased temporary licenses for the software through a Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment. The university will extend the right to use the software on students’ personally owned computers for their exclusive use.

Students will be authorized to use the software and associated media pursuant to the terms and conditions of the license(s) granted to the University for the term of the Campus Subscription Enrollment. Students are strongly encouraged to review the terms set forth in the Student Users Acceptance Form, which must be signed when purchasing the official Microsoft media, as both the student and Stellenbosch University are responsible to comply with licensing requirements.

When students graduate during the Campus Agreement Subscription term, the software license will convert to a perpetual license (meaning the student owns the software) as verified in the Student License Confirmation, which the student may obtain from Stellenbosch University at that time. The Student License Confirmation is proof of software ownership.

Students leaving Stellenbosch University by means other than graduation must remove the software from their computers.

Microsoft products available to Students through the Campus Subscription Enrollment:

Students will be entitled to purchase one copy each of Windows and/or Office while being a Student at Stellenbosch University.
