The Anton Mostert Chair of Intellectual Property Law Public Lecture 2013 on 7 March 2013 was a resounding success, in no small part due to the talent of the guest speaker Prof Charles Gielen of Groningen University. The lecture drew a capacity crowd of over 200 academics, practitioners, members of the media, staff and students from across the country. The CIP was especially proud to welcome representatives of 9 out of the 10 Faculties of Stellenbosch University and colleagues from the University of Cape Town and the University of the Western Cape.
We are excited about the amount of sincere interest in IP law topics from such a varied audience, and pleased by the promise this holds for the development of this field of law.
