Research projects

In general my research is directed into six core areas, namely

  1. patterns and drivers of plant invasions,
  2. invasive species risk assessment,
  3. long-term assessments of impacts on species and communities by alien plant invasions,
  4. analysis of global patterns of alien plant invasions in protected areas,
  5. non-plant invasions in protected areas,
  6. working at the science–management–policy interface. Working across these spheres also allows for contributing to the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) thematic assessment on Invasive alien species and their control.
