On Wednesday, 11 August 2010, the department of Microbiology hosted a successful annual schools day in collaboration with the departments of Genetics and Biochemistry. Almost ninety Grade 11 and Grade 12 pupils from 7 high schools (including Kylemore, President, De Kuilen, Bishop Lavis, Henshilwood, Hugenot, Le Rochelle) came to visit the departments.
