One stop service for Facilities Management clients implemented

Facilities Management is in the process of implementing a new helpdesk.  It will serve as one reporting point for all needs, defects and services at Facilities Management and that all new requests of reporting regarding spatial needs, buildings projects, maintenance, services on grounds, and utility services, risk and protections services be reported at this Helpdesk.  These reportings will be registered on the new Facilities Management system, whereby the helpdesk staff will feed it through to the correct channels where a facilities manager will coordinate it.

Requests and reporting of residential students which relates to accommodation services and facilities must still be reported at the residence services coordinator who will feed it through to the helpdesk.

From 1 February 2010 all new requests at the helpdesk will be managed through the new facilities management system as a test run.  Please report any deficiency in the new system or send feedback to mr Paul Arendse, Head of Facilities Services, at pwa@sun.ac.za; or 021 808 4177.  Thank you for your patience during this process.

From 1 March 2010 the one stop service will be fully implemented. More information will be made available in February.
