Centre For Human Performance Sciences (CHPS) seeks academic affiliates and service providers
The Centre for Human Performance Sciences (CHPS) seeks to cultivate an interface between the diverse academic resources of Stellenbosch University and the activities of the Stellenbosch University Sport Performance Institute (SUSPI).
CHPS has subsequently initiated a process of AFFILIATION in which academic departments, laboratories and individuals can formally indicate their interest in participating in exercise, sport and wellness-related activities. Their level of participation may range from providing performance-related services as a source of third stream income, to involvement in academic-related forums as a way to share knowledge and expand an understanding of sports, exercise, wellness and other human performance related fields.
Affiliation may be by individuals, laboratories or academic departments. A critical outcome of affiliation will be the creation of opportunities for academic collaboration and interdisciplinary research.
Please e-mail Andrew Smith (Liaison for Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine) to express interest. ahsmith@sun.ac.za
