Wordfest in Salzburg

Prof Edwin Hees (English/Drama), Prof Sarah Nuttall (English) and Dr Daniel Roux (English) will be participating in a workshop at the University of Salzburg on 9 and 10 June to commemorate ten years of the exchange partnership with Stellenbosch.

The programme of readings, discussions and practical translations has been organised by Prof Dorothea Steiner, Department of English and American Studies at Salzburg University.

Prof Hees has lectured for four semesters at this Department over the past ten years; Prof Nuttall has lectured there for one semester, but this will be Dr Roux’s first visit.  Works by the South African writers Isabel Dixon and Denis Hirson, and the Cape-based composer Brendan Adams, will be featured.
