Liaison opportunity with Hunan University in China

The Frederik van Zyl Slabbert Institute for Student Leadership Development, in cooperation with the Postgraduate and International Office, hereby invite students for a liaison opportunity between Stellenbosch and Hunan University.

Hunan University is one of the oldest Universities in China. The programme entails a visit to Hunan University from 19-24 September 2011 and focus on the development of leadership capabilities within the context of the relationship between South Africa and China. All expenses are covered.

To apply you have to submit the following:

-        A shortened CV

-        A personal motivation

-        Your opinion about and understanding of the value, impact and challenges of BRICS, especially relating to technology and innovation

-        Your conception and understanding of contextual leadership

-        You need to be a SU student in 2012

This five points have to be compiled into a document of maximum five pages.

Application process

Applications open on 19 July 2011 and close on 5 August 2011. Interviews will take place from 15-19 August 2011 and the names of successful applicants will be announced on 20 August 2011
