Earth Observation (EO) Short Course

A short course in earth observation (EO) and remote sensing will be held from 17-21 October 2011 at the Centre for Geographical Analysis (Stellenbosch University).

This introductory course is aimed at EO beginners who need instruction in the basic remote sensing principles and techniques (e.g. image acquisition, pre-processing, field methods, supervised and unsupervised classification, accuracy assessment). Upon completion, participants will understand the basic principles of EO and will be able to apply various EO techniques using ENVI image processing software.
