Maties advance to semi-finals of Club Championships

The FNB Maties has advanced (short video) to the semi-finals of the annual National Club Championships. The Men in Maroon have beaten the University of Pretoria (Tukkies) 43-22 in the quater finals. The University is once again hosts to the competition.

The Maties will now face NWU-Pukke on Thursday (17:00) while last year’s winners, College Rovers of KwaZulu-Natal will take on the University of Johannesburg (UJ)  (15:15) .  Both games will be played in the Danie Craven Stadium. NWU-Pukke dismissed Park of Eastern Province 37-14 while UJ  sent Welkom Rovers (Griffons) home 41-20.

In the Plate Competition, Shimlas (Free State) will take on Noordeliks (Limpopo Blue Bulls) (11:45) while Roses United of Boland will square up against Progress (SWD) (13:30). The games will be played on Coetzenburg B.
