Pilates Course: Exercise is a process
A Pilates course will be presented by the Department of Sport Science on the following dates:
27 April: 08:30-17:00
28 April: 09:00-13:00
30 April: 17:00-19:00
7 May: 17:00-19:00
11 May: 08:30-17:00
12 May: 08:30-13:00
25 July: 19:00-20:30 (Exam)
The course will empower you to understand the basic Pilates principles that Joseph Pilates developed nearly a century ago.
“Pilates exercises train several muscle groups at once in smooth, continuous movements. By developing proper technique, you can actually re-train your body to move in safer, more efficient patterns of motion – invaluable for injury recovery, sports performance and good posture.”
This course is a competency course and requires you to have a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
