In die QS-verslag wat die top 700 universiteite wêreldwyd uit sowat 2000 instansies aanwys, word die US beskryf as “a new entry… that leap frogged past the Universities of Pretoria and KwaZulu-Natal” en as “…the third-highest ranked university in the region (Africa)”.

  1. I’m an Old Matie (1983 to 1989) and have been working in business liaison with the top ranking global and British Universities for the past 16 years. The THE and QS rankings are good guides for directing my teams’s time and efforts effectively, so it has been wonderful to see Stellenbosch enter the rankings for the first time. Well done everyone! I will now be working closely with my African counterparts to include Stellenbosch in our global projects.
    Yours faithfully,
    G. Taylor

Congratulations to the university for a job well done. I listened to the rectors interview on s.a fm with pride this morning.i’m proud to be a matie. Stellenbosch University (SU) you are the BEST!!!

  7. Congratulations! As an ex-Matie, as the parent of a current Stb University student, and parent of 2 more potential Matie students, I salute my Alma Mater.
It is indeed heartening to know that the quality and standard of education and research at Stb University is so high.
As the owner of 22 Die Laan Guest House in Stellenbosch I host many academics and other visitors and researchers to the University. This accolade confirms what I’ve been suspecting for a while now, namely that the US has authentic international standing.
    Again, I salute you.
