In the annual QS Report that announced the top 700 universities world-wide out of 2 000 institutions last week, Stellenbosch University is described as a “new entry…that leap frogged past the Universities of Pretoria and KwaZulu-Natal … and the third-highest ranked university in the region (Africa)”.
