Ukwanda Centre for Rural Health hosted its 8th annual Rural Research Day on 17 May 2018. With attendees from The South African Medical Research Council all the way to Department of Health, made the day a big success. Here follows a few interesting research topics that were presented on the day:

This year marked the 8th year of the research day and a little over 100 students, Stellenbosch University staff, Department of Health staff as well as Health professionals from various community centres honoured the invitation with great enthusiasm.
This year marked the 9th year of the Rural Research Day and had a attendance of 95 people consisting of students, Stellenbosch University staff, Department of Health staff, health professionals and researchers from various health facilities and community centres in the surrounding areas.
