Join the most breathtaking club on campus!

The Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. Our Highly Trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world

What does a typical Open Water Schedule look like?, At MUC, we understand what it’s like to be a student, as we are all students ourselves. Hence, our courses are arranged to be as convenient as possible, with Class times and exams. Below is a typical schedule for an open water course:

Day 1 (Wednesday): Course briefing @ 6 PM — overview of logistics and skills you’ll gain.

Day 2 (Thursday): Confined Open Water Dives 1–3 – Maties Pool (5:30 PM – 10 PM) (meet at Clubhouse @ 5 PM).

Day 3 (Friday): Confined Open Water Dives 3–5 – Maties Pool (5:30 PM – 10 PM).
Day 4 (Saturday): Open Water Dives 1 & 2 – Simon’s Town, False Bay (7 AM – 3 PM).
Day 5 (Sunday): Open Water Dives 3 & 4 – Simon’s Town, False Bay (7 AM – 3 PM).
That’s it, a couple of evenings and two fun days in Simon’s Town experiencing Cape Town’s best dive sites.
