\nDECLARATION OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AS THE PRINCE EDWARD ISLANDS TO BE A SPECIAL NATURE RESERVE
\nPublished under Government Notice R1703 in Government Gazette 16796. Commencement date: 3 November 1995
\nI, Dawid Jacobus de Villiers, Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, do hereby in terms of section 18 of the Environment Conservation Act, 1989 (Act No. 73 of 1989), declare the territory known as the Prince Edward Islands, consisting of Marion Island, situated latitude 46 degrees 53’S, longitude 37 degrees 45’E, and the Prince Edward Island, situated latitude 46036’S, longitude 37057’E, above the low-water mark as defined in section 1 of the Sea Fishery Act, 1988 (Act No.12 of 1988), to be Special Nature Reserves.<\/p>\n
