Net so voor Vanrhynsdrop l\u00ea daar \u2018n aardige stukkie berg \u2013 ons speelplek vir die Septembervakansie.<\/p>\n
Die toer begin met \u2018n stewige klim tot die plato, waarvandaan jy die uitgestrekte vlaktes van die Knersvlakte kan besigtig. Bo-op die plato tref mens allerhande interessante plantegroei aan, en merk jy selfs hier-en-daar \u2018n rooiboslandery op. Met die rooi-bruin klip wat pryk teen die groen, maak jy jou o\u00eb onder die sterrehemel toe en weet: Nou is ek met vakanise. Hier kan ek rus. Hier gaan ek \u2018n ongelooflike tyd h\u00ea!<\/p>\n
Die 2de dag stap ons al op die plato langs tot verby kranse, waar ons dan die aand in \u2018n kampterrein slaap. Dis \u2018n rustige dag se stap \u2013 net genoeg om jou litte los te kry en jou voor te berei vir \u2018n effense langer 3de dag. Soos jy jou o\u00eb onder die sterrehemel toe maak, bedref die gedruis van \u2018n stroom jou ore. Jou hele wese ontspan, en jy weet: vanaand slap ek soos \u2018n vet babatjie.<\/p>\n
Die 4de dag stap ons af in die kloof, verby pragtige watervalle. Ons kuier vir oulaas saam onder die sterrehemel in die berge, voor ons die roete af sluit deur nog \u2018n wyle in die klowe te baljaar. Teen vroegaand is ons terug in Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n
As jy lus is vir \u2018n lekker vakansie in die berge, weg van die gedruis van die dorp; waar jy in die aande onder die sterrehemel slaap, en soggens die son oor die berge sien verreis; waar jy vir \u2018n paar dae van jou akademie kan vergeet, en goeie geselskap kan geniet\u2026 Dan is jy lus vir \u2018n vakansie saam met die BTK<\/b> in die Maskamberge!<\/p>\n

This is our playground for the September holiday.<\/p>\n Our trail starts with a stiff climb up a valley to the plateau, where we have a beautiful view of the stretched out plains of the \u2018Knersvlakte\u2019 below us. On top of the plateau an interesting variety of vegetation awaits us, even a rooibos field or two. With the reddish-brown rocks contrasting nicely against the green, you close your eyes under the star filled sky and know: Now I am on holiday. I can rest here. I will have an amazing time here!<\/p>\n The 2nd<\/sup> day we hike all along the plateau past cliffs, where we will spend the night in a camping ground. It is a relaxed day of hiking, just enough to loosen your muscles for a slightly longer 3rd<\/sup> day. As you close your eyes beneath a blanket of stars, the sound of the cobbling stream brings music to your ears. Your entire being relaxes and you know that tonight you are going to sleep like a baby.<\/p>\n On the 4th<\/sup> day we descend through a valley, past beautiful waterfalls.
