{"id":2,"date":"2018-06-11T09:42:23","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T09:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/fmm\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2019-07-09T10:45:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-09T10:45:55","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/fmm\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]About Us[:de]Sample Page[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:en]Welcome to the website of the Forest Measurements and Modelling (FMM) research group at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun.ac.za\/Home.aspx\">Stellenbosch University<\/a>.\u00a0 We are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun.ac.za\/english\/faculty\/agri\/forestry\">Department of Forest and Wood Science<\/a>, which falls within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun.ac.za\/english\/faculty\/agri\">Faculty of Agrisciences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We work across a range of research topics that pertain to the modelling of <strong>growth of trees and forests at multiple scales<\/strong>.\u00a0 A particularly important focus in our group is on <strong>models of wood formation<\/strong> in the genus <em>Eucalyptus<\/em>, supported through the<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hmfoundation.co.za\/\">Hans Merensky Foundation<\/a> (HMF) Research Chair in Advanced Modelling of\u00a0<em>Eucalyptus<\/em>\u00a0Wood Formation\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/fmm\/hmf-eucxylo\/\">EucXylo<\/a>)<\/strong>.
