About Us
Established in 1973, Helshoogte Men’s Residence has a rich history of fostering academic excellence and personal growth among its residents. Our residence is conveniently located within walking distance of lecture halls, libraries, and recreational facilities, providing students with easy access to all that Stellenbosch University has to offer.
Our Mission
At Helshoogte Men’s Residence, our long-term vision is to become the premier male community in South Africa, and we believe that we have made massive strides towards this vision in the past few years. We now look to the external sphere, where we strive to be a pioneer for sustainable male communities, that sees individuals learn to be meaningful contributors to their surrounding environment.
We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive community where every resident feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Furthermore, we strive to foster a culture of academic diligence, personal responsibility, and respect for others, promoting a sense of belonging and camaraderie among our diverse student body.
