Annette holds an LDB degree from Stellenbosch University and is the former Head of the Short Loans Division at the JS Gericke Library of SU. She is an experienced researcher and was responsible for re-opening the Indigenous People’s Library in Kuisebmond, NAM. On her return to Stellenbosch she resumed service at the Library and Information Services Division of SU, where she was primarily responsible for Legal Resources.

Her extensive administrative, legal research and PR skills draw from a divergent career in private business and consultation, and is invaluable to the success of the Chair of Intellectual Property.

Since 2012 Annette is the research and administrative manager of the Chair and is responsible for: communication, public relations and media; conference, travel and logistical management; student liaison; finances; office management and legal research.
