This is a fund created by Ireners to act as a support system for members in our community who are in need & experiencing financial difficulties. It aims to assist these students by helping to bridge the gap between different socio-economic backgrounds within our #321 family and focuses on basic necessities. Whether food insecurity, a lack of sanitary items, needing urgent medication, or even being unable to attend an Irene dance due to financial difficulties, it’s important for our community to support each other.
However, being students, we realise the limited donation capacity of our 321 Ireners. We therefore decided to extend to opportunity to donate to Irene4Irene to beyond our closed student community.
During 2023, we had several Ireners utilize the fund for:
- Bedding (duvets and pillows bought during welcoming for newcomers)
- Sanitary items
- Toiletries
- Food
- House dance tickets

There is no minimum donation amount, because every donation whether R10 or R100, makes a big difference & is highly appreciated.
