IT DIVISION MANAGEMENT
Chief Director: Information Technology
The Chief Director is responsible overall for the effective employment of information technology and systems in support of teaching and learning, research, community outreach and management functions at the university.

Director: Academic IT
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of central information systems and applications that support the university’s core academic processes of teaching and learning and research; administration and management; and community interaction. The role also entails maintaining and nurturing relationships with the institutional process and system owners.
JOE SMIT
Director: IT Infrastructure
Responsible for provisioning infrastructure and platform required to provide ICT services to the University. These are mainly back-end services such as virtual computing, storage, back-up, data network, telephony, card systems and security cameras.
VACANT (Contact Marc-Allen Johnson)
Director: IT Institutional Software Solutions
Responsible for building, providing, maintaining and supporting reliable, innovative and sustainable institutional software solutions that meet the University’s needs timeously and over the long term.
DR ZENOBIA DAVIDSE
Director: IT General Support Services
Manages aspects of the IT General Support Services section, comprised of the following functions: IT Architecture Management; IT Project Management Office; IT Service Operations (Service Desk and User Support); IT Security and Compliance coordination; Coordination of IT Policy and Regulation Maintenance; IT Audit and Risk coordination.
The responsibility areas listed above provide a set of general services to assist, coordinate and support other IT activities and processes within the broader ICT functions of the University, as well as client support.
