Strikroof-poging vanaf sun e-posrekening

Indien jy ʼn e-pos ontvang met die onderwerp “To All Faculty\Staff of Stellenbosch University” vanaf ʼn sun e-posadres wat vra dat jy op ʼn skakel kliek om jou webmail op te gradeer, moet asb. nie daarop reageer en jou inligting verskaf nie. (sien voorbeeld onderaan die plasing)

Hierdie is nie ʼn geldige e-pos van Informasietegnologie nie. Ons sal jou nooit versoek om jou inligting in te vul d.m.v. ʼn e-posskakel nie. Die verdagte e-pos word gestuur vanaf ʼn e-pos rekening wat gekompromitteer is en is ʼn slim, geteikende strikroofpoging.

Wanneer jy op skakels in strikroof e-posse kliek en jou inligting verskaf, sal dit deur misdadigers misbruik word om toegang te kry tot jou persoonlike inligting. Indien jy op die skakel in hierdie strikroof e-pos gekliek het, verander onmiddellik jou wagwoord op www.sun.ac.za/password.
