If you don\u2019t update your licence, you will no longer be able to read or edit pdf documents with the Adobe Acrobat software.<\/p>\n<p>To prevent this from happening, you can do one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the <a href=\"http:\/\/support.sun.ac.za\/Adobe%20License%20Update\/LicenseUpdate.exe\">following link<\/a>. You will be prompted to enter your username &amp; password and the licenceupdate.exe file will, depending on your browser, either ask you to <em>run\/save<\/em> or download automatically.\n<ol>\n<li>If your browser prompts you to <em>run\/save<\/em>, click<em> run.<\/em> You might get a notification that Windows considers the file to be unsafe, but you can click<em> more info<\/em> and click <em>run anyway<\/em>. Notices will pop up on your screen. In each instance, just click on <em>Yes<\/em>. The command window will display the new date when Acrobat will expire. Click any key to close the command window.<\/li>\n<li>If your browser automatically downloaded the file, browse to your download folder and double click the licenceupdate.exe file. Follow the steps described above.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you can&#8217;t successfully execute the instructions above, please log a request with the subject \u201cUpdate Adobe licence\u201d on the <a href=\"https:\/\/servicedesk.sun.ac.za\/\">ICT Partner Portal.<\/a> Keep in mind that this option will mean a delay in response time.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[:af]<\/p>\n<p>Adobe Acrobat-gebruikers mag dalk opgemerk het dat \u2019n kennisgewing op hulle skerms verskyn met die boodskap dat lisensies gaan verval einde November.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hierdie is \u2019n administrasie-saak aan Adobe se kant en kan maklik reggestel word sodat jy sonder te veel moeite kan werk. Jy mag moontlik \u2019n kennisgewing kry dat Windows die le\u00ear as onveilig beskou, maar jy kan kliek op <em>more info<\/em> and op <em>run<\/em> anyway kliek. Verdere kennisgewings sal op jou skerm verskyn. Met elke kennisgewing, kliek bloot <em>Yes<\/em>. Die skerm sal die nuwe datum waarop Adobe verval vertoon.<\/li>\n<li>Indien ou webblaaier outomaties die le\u00ear aflaai, gaan na jou <em>Downloads-<\/em>gids en dubbelkliek op die licenceupdate.exe le\u00ear.
