But before you leave, there are a few things you can do now to ensure that your return is seamless.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few tips:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-za\/help\/290846\/how-to-use-the-out-of-office-assistant-in-outlook\">Activate your\u00a0Out of Office\u00a0function<\/a>\u00a0on your sun.ac.za Outlook mailbox and indicate in the message when you will be available again in case someone needs to contact you. Also, indicate who will be responsible during your time away and add their email address to your Out of Office.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that your relevant\u00a0work-related data\u00a0is accessible for usage by your colleagues while you are away. However, do NOT give your password to colleagues when as this poses a security risk.<\/li>\n<li>If your sun password might expire during your holiday,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun.ac.za\/password\">rather\u00a0change it before you go.<\/a>\u00a0If it expires while you are away you will be locked out of your account and it will cause unnecessary stress to deactivate it in January.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>If you receive a\u00a0phishing email on your sun account\u00a0over the holiday and clicked on links or typed in your username and password, your account may be compromised. Immediately change your password at www.sun.ac.za\/password and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/servicedesk.sun.ac.za\/\">log a service request on the ICT Partner Portal<\/a>. Your device will then be checked and scanned after the holiday. Remember that you can also report spam directly to Microsoft by using the handy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/use-the-report-message-add-in-b5caa9f1-cdf3-4443-af8c-ff724ea719d2\">Report Message function in Outlook<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>IT will be on skeleton staff between 15 December \u2013 15 January 2023, even by saying that we will continue to deliver our services without any delays or disruption.
