This also means that your network access will no longer be working if you forgot to activate it by 31\u00a0March.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately network reactivation is a requirement for network usage, but also a fairly fast and painless process.<\/p>\n<p>All network users will receive an e-mail from\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:helpinfo@sun.ac.za\">HELPINFO@SUN.AC.ZA<\/a>\u00a0well in advance with the warning that your username will expire shortly if you do not reactivate. \u00a0To save yourself unnecessary frustration, immediately log on to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maties2.sun.ac.za\/rtad4\/useradm\/auth\/reactivate.rtad\" target=\"_blank\">HTTP:\/\/WWW.SUN.AC.ZA\/USERADM\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0reactivate your username.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you select the correct option. Reactivation\u00a0is not the same process as changing your password, so don\u2019t click on \u201cChange password\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The moment your reactivation is submitted, your cost centre\u00a0manager be e-mailed and able to approve your application. A daily e-mail will also remind the responsible manager of the request and he\/she will be able to approve it by logging on at \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun.ac.za\/useradm\">HTTP:\/\/WWW.SUN.AC.ZA\/USERADM<\/a>, selecting\u00a0\u201dCost Centre Admin\u201d and view and approve all applications.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you submit your request early, as cost<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>centre managers still have to approve it before 30 March and only then will your access be reactivated.<\/p>\n<p>If you have been caught off guard and without network access on 1 April, first try the self help option at \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun.ac.za\/useradm\">HTTP:\/\/WWW.SUN.AC.ZA\/USERADM<\/a>. (from someone else\u2019s device of course) Select \u201cReactivate Expired Username\u201d and your username and ID number will be \u00a0requested to verify it\u2019s you.<\/p>\n<p>You can also contact the IT Service Centre. However, keep in mind that this is usually one of the busiest days of the year at the Service Desk so you\u2019ll have to practice a bit of patience and wait longer than usual.<\/p>\n<p>We also compiled a few FAQ\u2019s to try and answer most of your questions (see below).
