‘n Beurs word jaarliks deur Adams & Adams aan ‘n LLB-student beskikbaar gestel op grond van verdienste en behoefte.

Amicus Fonds beurs

Die Amicus Fonds is opgerig deur alumni van die Fakulteit Regsgeleerdheid. Die fonds ken jaarliks ‘n paar beurse toe aan behoeftige studente en voorkeur word gegee aan studente met histories benadeelde agtergronde. Die beurs dek ongeveer die klasgelde van een akademiese jaar en is beskikbaar aan studente geregistreer vir die nagraadse LLB program of die finalejaar van die LLB vier-jaar program. Daar bestaan slegs een rondte van aansoeke in September / Oktober van elke jaar en belangstellendes moet die voorgeskrewe aansoekvorm beskikbaar by die dekaan se sekretaresse voltooi.

Appèlregter FW Beyers-beurs

Een beurs vir een jaar wat jaarliks op grond van uitmuntende prestasie in die eerste jaar van BA (Regsgeleerdheid) of BComm (met Regsvakke) toegeken word uit die nalatenskap van wyle appèlregter FW Beyers.

Buchanan Boyes-beurs

Dié Kaapstadse prokureursfirma ken jaarliks ‘n beurs toe aan ‘n voorfinalejaar-regstudent wat die meeste belofte as toekomstige prokureur toon. Die toekenning geskied op grond van akademiese prestasie, buitemuurse aktiwiteite en karakter. Onderhoude word gedurende die eerste semester deur verteenwoordigers van die firma gevoer met kandidate wat deur die fakulteitskomitee van die Fakulteit Regsgeleerdheid aangewys is.

Cliffe Dekker Fuller Moore Ing.-beurs

Die Johannesburgse prokureursfirma Cliffe Dekker Fuller Moore Ing. ken jaarliks ‘n beurs op grond van meriete en behoefte toe aan ‘n belowende LLB III-student.

Georgala-familie-beursfonds

Finansiële bystand aan behoeftige studente uit voorheen benadeelde bevolkingsgroepe in die voorfinale en finale LLB-studiejare.

Smuts, Kemp en Smal Ing.-beurs

Twee beurse word toegeken aan vierdejaar-LLB-studente wat beoog om as prokureurs te praktiseer en afkomstig is uit voor¬heen benadeelde gemeenskappe. ‘n Goeie akademiese rekord, goeie mensever¬houdinge en veelsydigheid is noodsaaklik. Die beurs word bekostig uit ‘n jaarlikse skenking van die prokureursfirma Smuts, Kemp en Smal Ing. (Belville).

Sophie Jacob Gedenkbeurs

Ter ondersteuning van LLM of LLD studie met betrekking tot vroueregte.  Toegeken op akademiese meriete aan studente met die potensiaal om ‘n bydrae te maak tot die ontwikkeling van vroueregte. Geen aansoeke nie, kandidate word genomineer deur die Genote van die Ciucci Sentrum vir die Reg en Sosiale Ontwikkeling.

Stonehage Groep Beurs

Die Stonehage groep, ‘n internasionale batebestuur en trustdienstegroep, verskaf finansiële ondersteuning aan behoeftige studente in die tweede, derde en finale studiejare van die LLB program.

Stonehage Eerstejaarsbeurs

Twaalf beurse, insuitende omvattend volle klasgelde, is beskikbaar gestel vir 2009  ingevolge ‘n strategiese vennootskap tussen die Stonehage Groep en die Stellenbosch Regsfakulteit vir akademies begaafde studente, veral ook uit voorheen benadeelde gemeenskappe wat registreer vir die eerste jaar van die BA (Regte), B Comm (Regte), LLB of BRek LLB programme.  Voorkeur sal gegee word aan aansoekers van die Bloemhof Hoër Meisieskool; Kayamandi Hoërskool; Lückhoff Hoërskool Paul Roos Gimnasium, Rhenish Hoër Meisieskool en Stellenbosch Hoërskool.

Finansiële bystand aan behoeftige studente uit voorheen benadeelde bevolkingsgroepe in die voorfinale en finale LLB-studiejare.

Visagie, Vos en Vennote-beurs

‘n Beurs word jaarliks toegeken aan ‘n behoeftige LLB III-student.

Webber, Wentzel & Kie.-beurs

Die nasionale prokureursfirma Webber, Wentzel & Kie. ken jaarliks ‘n beurs toe aan ‘n voorfinalejaar-LLB-student wat akademies goed presteer en besondere belofte as toekomstige prokureur toon.

A bursary awarded annually by Adams & Adams on the basis of merit and need.

Amicus Fund bursary

The Amicus Fund was established by alumni of the Law Faculty. It awards a number of bursaries, usually amounting to one year’s tuition fees, to needy students, with preference being accorded to students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds. The bursary is available to students registered for the postgraduate LLB programme or the final year of the four-year LLB programme. There is only one round of applications, usually in September or October. Applications must be made on the prescribed form available at the Dean’s secretary.

Judge of Appeal FW Beyers Bursary

A bursary awarded annually from the legacy of the late Judge of Appeal FW Beyers by virtue of exceptional achievement in the first year of the BA (Law) or BComm (with Law subjects) degree programme.

Buchanan Boyes Bursary

This Cape Town based law firm annually awards a bursary to a pre-finalyear law student who shows the most promise as a future attorney. The award is based on the candidate’s academic performance, extramural activities and character. Interviews will be conducted by representatives of the firm during the first semester of every year. Candidates for this bursary will be designated by the faculty committee of the Faculty of Law.

Cliffe Dekker Fuller Moore Inc Bursary

The Johannesburg law firm Cliffe Decker Fuller Moore Inc annually awards a bursary to a promising LLB III student on the grounds of merit and need.

Georgala family Bursary

Financial assistance is awarded to students in the final or pre-final LLB year from previously disadvantaged population groups on the basis of need.

Rooth & Wessels Bursary

The Pretoria law firm Rooth & Wessels annually awards a bursary to a final year LLB student who displays particular promise as future attorney.

Smuts, Kemp and Smal Bursaries

Two bursaries are awarded annually to two LLB students from previously disadvantaged communities in the final year of study who intend to practise as attorneys. A strong academic record, good inter-personal skills and versatility are prerequisites. These bursaries are awarded from funds made by Smuts, Kemp and Smal Inc. (Bellville)

Sophie Jacob Memorial Scholarship

For LLM or LLD study relating to women’s rights. Awarded on the basis of academic merit to students with the potential to contribute to the law relating to women’s rights. No applications, candidates are nominated by the Fellows of the Ciucci Centre for Law and Social Development.

Stonehage Group Scholarship

The Stonehage Group, an international wealth management and fiduciary services group, provides financial support for needy students in LLB second, third and final year.

Stonehage First Year Scholarship

Twelve scholarships, covering full tuition fees, introduced in 2009 as part of a strategic partnership between the Stonehage Group and the Stellenbosch Faculty of Law. The Scholarship is for academically gifted students, in particular those from previously disadvantaged communities, registering for the first year of the BA (Law), B Comm (Law), LLB or the BAcc LLB programs.  Preference will be given to applicants from Bloemhof Girls High School, Kayamandi High School, Lückhoff High School, Paul Roos Gymnasium, Rhenish Girls High School and Stellenbosch High School.

The Link-SA Trust Bursary

Financial support awarded to needy students from previously disadvantaged communities in the pre-final and final-year class.

Visagie, Vos and Partners Bursary

A bursary awarded annually to a needy Afrikaans-speaking LLB III student.

Webber, Wentzel Bursary

The national law firm Webber Wentzel & Co annually awards a bursary to a final year LLB student who displays particular promise as a future attorney.
