PSA Counter-Corruption Summit

On 27 July 2022, the PSA brought together all branches of the South African state (executive, legislative and judicial), various law-enforcement and oversight agencies, business leaders, NGO’s and civil society representatives, academia, international organisations like the World Bank, African Development Bank, UN ODC and Commonwealth Secretariat, in a Counter-Corruption Summit.

The aim of the Summit was to help galvanise broad support for the continued efforts to counter corruption and to establish a forum or platform for collaboration across all sectors of society in coordinating counter-corruption initiatives. At the conclusion of the Summit, delegates unanimously adopted a SUMMIT DECLARATION, establishing the South Africa Regional Centre of Excellence as the way forward to bring collaboration to countering corruption on the African continent.
