{"id":2673,"date":"2014-07-21T17:28:58","date_gmt":"2014-07-21T15:28:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/law\/?p=2673"},"modified":"2014-07-21T17:28:58","modified_gmt":"2014-07-21T15:28:58","slug":"annual-sarcpl-public-lecture-and-day-seminar-on-housing-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/law\/annual-sarcpl-public-lecture-and-day-seminar-on-housing-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual SARCPL public lecture and Day Seminar on Housing Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On <strong>7 August 2014<\/strong> the South African Research Chair in Property Law (SARCPL) and the Faculty of Law (University of Stellenbosch) will host two separate events focussing on Housing Law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <strong>Day Seminar<\/strong> titled \u201c<em>Housing Jurisprudence \u2013 Gaps and possibilities<\/em>\u201d will address issues in housing jurisprudence with the aim of identifying possible shortfalls and considering creative possibilities. Speakers include Prof Jackie Dugard (Wits), Dr Gustav Muller (Rhodes) Dr Sue-Mari Viljoen (Unisa) and Dr Zsa-Zsa Boggenpoel (Stellenbosch). The seminar will take place from 10am to 4pm in the CL Marais Building, Crozier Street, Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On the evening of 7 August the second <strong>annual SARCPL public lecture<\/strong> will be presented this year by <strong>Prof Susan Bright (Oxford University)<\/strong>. The lecture is titled \u201c<em>To evict or not to evict: How difficult decisions are made<\/em>\u201d. It will take place at 18:30 in the JC De Wet Hall, Old Main Building, c\/o Victoria and Ryneveld Street, Stellenbosch and will be followed by a cocktail reception.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Attendance of these events is free of charge but seating is limited.
