Die SciMathUS-program aan die Universiteit Stellenbosch, wat deur SUNCEP bestuur word, is \u2019n eenjaar-brugkursus wat daarop gemik is om NSS-resultate in Wiskunde en Fisiese Wetenskappe vir studente uit benadeelde agtergronde te verbeter. Die program, wat in 2000 begin is, bied omvattende ondersteuning, insluitend akkommodasie, en fokus op aktiewe leer met 7 uur se daaglikse klasse in kernvakke, sowel as vaardighede soos Rekenaargeletterdheid en Akademiese Geletterdheid. Dit verskaf ook mentorskap en loopbaanvoorligting om studente te help om suksesvol na ho\u00ebr onderwys oor te skakel.\nBaie gegradueerdes voltooi later grade, veral aan die Universiteit Stellenbosch, wat die program se sukses in die uitbreiding van toegang tot gehalte-onderwys beklemtoon.<\/p>\n

SciMathUS is uniek vanwe\u00eb sy aktiewe leerbenadering, waar studente aangemoedig word om deel te neem en saam te werk in die klaskamer. Die kurrikulum is streng, met 7 uur se daaglikse onderrig wat kernvakke en bykomende vaardighede soos Rekenaargeletterdheid en Akademiese Geletterdheid dek.<\/p>\n

Die onderrigtaal is hoofsaaklik Engels en Afrikaans, maar studente mag hul huistale tydens groepwerk gebruik om begrip te verbeter.<\/p>\n

SciMathUS word ten volle deur eksterne bronne befonds en speel steeds \u2019n belangrike rol in die verbreding van toegang tot gehalte-onderwys in Suid-Afrika. Die ho\u00eb aanvraag na die program en die beduidende prestasies van sy deelnemers bevestig sy blywende impak.<\/p>\n
