It encompasses two distinctive but related disciplines, that of Sociology and Social Anthropology. We offer separate majors in Sociology and Social Anthropology at undergraduate level and a range of discipline-based courses from honours through to doctoral studies at postgraduate level.<\/span> Under that broad umbrella, each discipline draws on its distinctive theoretical and methodological traditions to ground its research and analysis of social issues, as well as the training it provides
