The main conference will be\u00a0preceded by a day of workshops\/tutorials on 30 November 2016.<\/p>\n<p>[Download <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/prasarobmech2016\/files\/2016\/05\/Second-call-for-papers-PRASA-RobMech-2016.pdf\">PDF of second call for papers<\/a>.]<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/prasarobmech2016\/important-dates\/\"><strong>Important dates and deadlines<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Latest news:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The deadline for the submission of papers has been extended by a week to 7 September.<\/li>\n<li>Prof Sethu Vijayakumar, Professor of Robotics at the University of Edinburgh and the Director of the Edinburgh\u00a0Centre for Robotics, will be a keynote speaker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Topics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the\u00a0<strong>PRASA Track<\/strong>, we invite you to submit original papers in any area related to pattern recognition, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Classifiers and related topics<\/li>\n<li>Speech processing<\/li>\n<li>Natural language processing<\/li>\n<li>Computer vision and image processing<\/li>\n<li>Bioinformatics<\/li>\n<li>Signal processing<\/li>\n<li>Remote sensing<\/li>\n<li>Artificial intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Machine learning<\/li>\n<li>Computational analytics<\/li>\n<li>End-user applications and systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the\u00a0<strong>RobMech Track<\/strong>, any and all robotics and mechatronics topics will be considered, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FMS Artificial Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge Based Systems<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology Applied to Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Computer-Aided Engineering Education<\/li>\n<li>Sensors and Applications<\/li>\n<li>Robots and Automation<\/li>\n<li>Lean Manufacturing Logistics<\/li>\n<li>Modelling and Simulation Scheduling<\/li>\n<li>Rapid Prototype<\/li>\n<li>Management of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Operations Management<\/li>\n<li>Education and Training using robotics<\/li>\n<li>Agile Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Mechatronics<\/li>\n<li>Distributed Control Systems<\/li>\n<li>Energy<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing Neural Networks<\/li>\n<li>Mobile robotics<\/li>\n<li>Mining robotics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Format<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submitted papers must follow the\u00a0IEEE conference proceedings\u00a0(templates available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieee.org\/web\/publications\/pubservices\/confpub\/AuthorTools\/conferenceTemplates.html\">here<\/a>) and be\u00a0submitted in PDF format.
