Memory Text: \u201cThis is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and
\nsent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins\u201d (1 John 4:10, NIV).<\/p>\n
The main difference between Christianity and other religions is that; other religions preach self salvation while
\nChristianity acknowledges that it is through Christ alone that we may be saved.
\nChrist\u2019s incarnation in human flesh (Rom. 8:3), His death on the cross (Rom. 5:8),
\nHis resurrection (1 Pet. 1:3) and His ministry in heaven (Heb. 7:25) \u2014 these acts alone are what saves us.<\/p>\n

The Love of the Father<\/p>\n
God does not change (Malachi 3:6) and is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). When Phillip said
\n\u201cLord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us\u201d (John 14:8, NKJV); Jesus answered him by saying \u201cHave I
\nbeen with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how
\ncan you say, \u2018Show us the Father\u2019? Which shows us that The Father is, and always has been, gracious,
\nmerciful, compassionate, slow to anger (Ps. 145:8), loving and kind; just as Christ was.<\/p>\n
