The STC has just completed the manufacturing of 2 hot forming punches with conformal cooling channels using a combination of subtractive and additive manufacturing processes. The tools are each 745 mm in length and had to be split into 4 separate parts in order to fit into the Concept Laser metal 3D printing machine.
