With respect to a COVID-19 diagnosis, the current recommendation for the J&J vaccine is:
- “You should wait until 4 weeks after testing positive for COVID-19 or symptoms onset before getting the vaccine. If you were hospitalised with COVID-19, please consult your doctor about when it would be safe for you to get the vaccine.”

There are no specific restrictions on vaccination besides the usual ones post partum such as history of severe allergy against any of the constituents, acute illness, uncontrolled chronic disease or a COVID-19 diagnosis within 28 days. Dr Hassan Mahomed

Vaccination can occur any time after delivery- its safe to administer during breastfeeding
