SUNScholar Usage Statistics<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Our aim with SUNScholar<\/a> is to make SU research as highly visible possible, so that in the end the increase in citations will impact on your personal ranking, the ranking of the journal you publish with, as well as the university\u2019s ranking. In addition to viewing the statistics for individual articles\/theses\/dissertations on SUNScholar<\/a>, we also use Piwik<\/a> (SU IT supported statistical tool) to monitor usage. SUNScholar<\/a> will be turning 5 years old this year, and we would like to share the following usage statistics with you:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

We hope to be able to track citations to items in SUNScholar<\/a> to demonstrate the impact of open access in terms of citations, sometime in future. Currently we rely on third party tools e.g. Google Scholar Citations<\/b>. Examples:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

You can help us populate SUNScholar with your articles by submitting it yourself. This includes articles funded via the SU Open Access Publication Fund<\/a>. The only requirements:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

We acknowledge that every time you publish, it might be under a different form of your name. It also depends on the journal requirements. There are excellent tools available to bring together all research conducted under your primary name. Research identification tools such as ORCID<\/a> can generate a researcher id for you, and then create a list with links to all your research. The ORCID<\/a> id can also be embedded into the metadata of your SUNScholar research items. To register, click here<\/a>.
