{"id":377,"date":"2017-01-30T08:39:41","date_gmt":"2017-01-30T06:39:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/sunscholar\/?p=377"},"modified":"2017-01-30T08:39:41","modified_gmt":"2017-01-30T06:39:41","slug":"library-open-access-publication-fund-important-notice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sun.ac.za\/sunscholar\/2017\/01\/30\/library-open-access-publication-fund-important-notice\/","title":{"rendered":"Library Open Access Publication Fund: important notice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please take note of the following announcement that was posted on the <a href=\"http:\/\/library.sun.ac.za\/en-za\/Research\/oa\/Pages\/su-oafund.aspx\">OAP Fund website<\/a> this morning:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Announcement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>27 January 2017<\/p>\n<p>A limited amount has been made available for an interim period for the funding of articles to be published in non-BMC (BioMed Central) journals. <strong>Applications for funding are therefore accepted again.<\/strong> The Open Access Publication Fund policy will apply to all applications, with the following additional provisions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only 50% of the APCs for SU-authors will be funded.<\/li>\n<li>Invoices should be paid first and refunds may be claimed after payment.<\/li>\n<li>All refunds will require funding approval prior to refunds being paid out. Download the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/library.sun.ac.za\/SiteCollectionDocuments\/services\/OA-application.pdf\">pdf form<\/a>, complete and return to the contact person below.
