Who We Are<\/h1>\n

\"\"The Tygerberg Societies Council (TSC) is a student-run organization that represents all registered societies at the Stellenbosch University, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.<\/p>\n

Societies play an important role in student wellness. They provide opportunities for students to grow holistically and engage with different aspects of their personal development through leadership, community service and collaboration, but societies also create a platform for students to further their own interests like research, musical talents, dance, art or religious and spiritual growth.\u00a0The TSC creates this platform to explore these extramural activities and thus contribute to student success and wellbeing.<\/p>\n

Tygerberg campus is a home away from home to each student that studies here and societies play an integral role in providing healthy support structures, a safe space to destress as well as a sense of community.<\/p>\n

The TSC strives to create a space for every student on campus. To create your own society please contact tscchair@sun.ac.za. Please take note that the TSC is not affiliated with the Stellenbosch Societies Council.<\/p>\n
