Q \u2013 Tygerberg Undergraduate Research Society (Q) is dedicated to undergraduate research at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), Stellenbosch University. We represent a diverse group of health sciences students who share a common interest in research. As such, we aim to promote interest in research and evidence-based practices within the student body, as well as to support students who are contemplating or conducting research projects of their own.<\/p>\n

Stellenbosch University Surgical Society (SUSS)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A student-driven society based at Tygerberg Campus, aiming to promote the art and science of surgery among students within the health sciences.<\/p>\n

We are a group of students that are passionate about children. Once a week,we visit the children admitted in TBH paediatric units. We have lots of fun playing with our small friends.<\/p>\n

SPECTRUM! Society Tygerberg aims to represent and support the Queer community on Tygerberg. This includes advocacy in policy-making, events on campus to bring our community together and working to improve awareness, tolerance and inclusion of Queer bodies on campus.<\/p>\n

Stellenbosch University Stoic Society<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Society aims to promote awareness of the principles of Stoic philosophy and encourage the study and reflection of the origins and Stoicism and its application in current affairs. Our mission is to foster a culture of courteous enquiry, discussion and debate about Stoicism and related philosophies; to inspire people to contemplate the behavior of their role models; and to reflect on their own behavior in order to live mindfully.<\/p>\n

We are a society established to promote the learning and enjoyment of Ballroom and Latin American dances in a social environment. We provide classes at both the Stellenbosch and Tygerberg campuses. Outside of formal class times, we host various social events throughout the year to create a sense of community within the society, as well as to attract new people to the society.<\/p>\n

The Tygerberg Gospel Choir consist of a group of Stellenbosch University Medical and Health Sciences students who are inspired by the Word of God and use music as a platform to spread the Gospel. We are all from different denominations but we serve the one and only true living God<\/span><\/p>\n

Stellenbosch University Medical Orchestra (SUMO)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The orchestra was formed to provide health science students and members of the medical\u00a0community with a place to come together and make music. The orchestra exists for the enjoyment of music and aims to allow people who play an instrument to play with other people, under the baton of a conductor.<\/p>\n
