Our Journal the African Journal of Disability (AJOD) under the leadership of Professor Leslie Swartz has been growing from strength to strength. We have a supplement that is the outcome of papers that were presented in the AfriNEAD 2011 symposium that is due in March in 2014. More than 10 papers have been prepared for this supplement. We would like to give a round of applause to the authors of these papers.
On another front AJOD has been given the status of an accredited journal and joined the list of approved journals in South Africa. This has a huge implication for South African authors as for each article published their Universities get subsidy.
As a call for abstracts has been issued by the scientific committee for the 2014 symposium at the University of Malawi, let us clean our manuscripts and bring them forward to assist AfriNEAD to live its legacy of being an African Network for Evidence- to- Action in Disability.
