Maties Equestrian riders are competing in a variety of disciplines on a local, provincial and national level. The Stellenbosch District Riding Club (SDRC) hosts shows up to national level, and is a short 15 minute drive away. Clinics and practice shows are also held regularly at SDRC, so you will see Maties riders at the show grounds very often!
We are proud to have members competing in Dressage, Show Jumping, Endurance, Eventing and Showing. Our recently upgraded facilities allow for the ideal training atmosphere for the occasional show-goer all the way up to the fully competitive rider.
Our stable and club horses are registered with SANESA, allowing our junior pupils (elementary and secondary school level) to compete provincially and nationally in various disciplines.
Maties Equestrian also hosts its own practice shows every 2-3 months, usually in dressage, show jumping, equitation and/or showing. Our shows are small and take place in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere where fun is the first priority! Students from our riding school often start off their show experiences at our stables before graduating to “off-site” events such as at SDRC.
