Students will have the chance to conduct their research project with an institution that is ranking among the top-3 Canadian Universities in terms of research intensity in the field of engineering. Twenty (20) remote research projects are presented in the attached brochure. Students can also decide to pick another area of expertise offered at Polytechnique (Polytechnique Montréal’s professors must agree to offer the research project remotely).
Duration: The recommended duration of the internship is a minimum of 4 months, usually taking place between May and August. Other duration or period can be negotiated to suit your university schedule. Don’t hesitate to contact us to agree on a different timeframe. To facilitate their integration, your students must start their remote internship with one of our welcoming sessions according to the welcoming sessions calendar listed on page 2 of the attached Application Form.
Financial Arrangement: Students have a chance to get one of the 20 scholarships available! Maximum amount of the scholarship: $4000 CAD (calculated according to the duration of your student’s stay). The scholarship will be paid via international bank transfer either to the home institution or directly to the intern.
Deadline: Students must submit electronically the required documents (as indicated in the attached brochure) to Mr. Werner de Wit at wdw@sun.ac.za by 25 January 2021. Results will be announced in February 2021.
Application Procedure: Students may obtain information about eligibility criteria, application procedures, financial arrangement and more in the enclosed brochure. They must also submit the attached “Application Form” when they apply to the Program.
Nominations: Stellenbosch University International shall review the applications and nominate candidates to Polytechnique Montréal.
