Last year Iimbovane collaborated with WESSA to produce an issue of the EnviroKids magazine, themed “Understanding alien plants and animals in South Africa”.

This issue introduces readers to the background on biological invasions, and a history of how aliens arrive from other places, with a focus on South Africa and important invasive species here. The content of Envirokids supports the national curriculum and serves as an educational resource for learners, parents and teachers. You can check it out here: https://blogs.sun.ac.za/cib/envirokids-understanding-alien-plants-and-animals-in-south-africa/

EnviroKids, WESSA’s quarterly magazine for young eco-champions, is a timeless environmental education resource for children, parents and teachers. Now entering its 39th year, this quarterly magazine is full of fantastic facts and inspiring stories, with themes supporting the National Curriculum. To subscribe, order bulk copies for education programmes, or collaborate on the magazine, contact the editor on envirokids@wessa.co.za.
