Natalie’s journey began with an undergraduate BSc in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology which she attained from the University of Western Cape in 2019. During her undergrad she also volunteered as a student on her spare time at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town.
After her graduation, Natalie accepted an internship at the Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden, where she worked for two years. After the internship, she worked for the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) as a Research Assistant and Field Officer on the Sustainable Wildlife Economies Project (SWEP) in 2022. Natalie then joined the Iimbovane Outreach Project in 2023 as an Environmental Educator in promoting environmental education in various schools in the Western Cape.
This year has ended with her claiming her Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development though the Centre for Sustainability Transitions at Stellenbosch University.
Iimbovane stands proud to see Natalie achieve this incredible milestone. May her hat fly as high as her dreams 🎓✨️
