Christine Strauss is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Mercantile Law, joining Stellenbosch University in 2024. She completed her BSc (Human Life Science), BSc Honours (Human Genetics) and LLB (3-year Postgraduate) degrees at Stellenbosch University and her LLM (Law, Science and Technology) at Stanford University. Before joining the Department of Mercantile Law, she worked as an attorney and trade mark practitioner at Adams & Adams attorneys. Her research interests include reproductive technologies, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, bioethics, intellectual property law, innovation management and the regulation of emerging technologies.
