PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Minerva is a close-knit female residence built on sisterhood, support, and shared traditions that are carried from one generation of women to the next. Each year, we welcome approximately 100 first-year students into our community, where shared rooms create a space for meaningful connections and lifelong friendships to begin.
The year starts with Minerva’s welcoming programme, lovingly planned by the House Committee to ensure that every first year feels seen, supported, and at home. This period is about more than orientation — it is a time of laughter, growth, and forming bonds with the females who will walk alongside you throughout your university journey. During welcoming, first years choose a Mentor, a senior Minerva member who becomes a guide, confidant, and source of encouragement as they navigate both residence life and university as a whole.
Before classes begin, first years also take part in the annual Vensters charity event in partnership with another residence. This experience allows Minervianers to step beyond their residence, meet new people, and give back together — strengthening not only our sense of community but also the values of compassion and unity that define Minerva.
