Our microscope, which was sent to Germany in April this year, has finally been returned to our unit!
The system was delivered last week in three crates and several boxes, which is now strategically stacked in the unit until installation can commence.
In the past few days, the engineer packed up the loan unit we’ve been using for the past few months. The LSM 880 confocal microscope is also truly a great instrument to use. We just want to thank Zeiss for making this instrument available to us for the time that our own microscope was not available.
For the next few weeks we’ll be posting some information on the progress of installation, training and first images! Keep an eye on the website!
The LSM880 laser unit and microscope is back in its crate, ready to be returned to Zeiss.
Some more components for the LSM880 confocal microscope. This microscope was on loan to our unit for the duration that we did not have our microscope available due to the upgrade.
All that is left, is the microscope stand and PC. Soon this space will be occupied with one of the best microscopes in Africa!
