Update on the Installation of Zeiss Microscope

The installation of the microscope is nearly complete. The engineer is currently finalizing the settings for the dPALM/STORM components. In the meanwhile, the confocal components are up and running. You can contact us for bookings or check on the Quartzy system for openings.

I obtained my MSc in Medical Sciences at Stellenbosch University have has vast experience in flow cytometry, particularly multicolour flow cytometry and Immunology. I have also acquired several techniques including fluorescent microscopy, cell culture and cell isolation (especially immune cells) and multiparameter flow cytometric and fluorescent microscopy analysis of various particles and cells. As part of the CAF institution, I have also been involved in all courses in our unit for both fluorescent techniques and I instruct the practical component for theses courses.
