Course details

  • Fees: No tuition fee; R500 registration fee per semester
  • Type: Non-credit-bearing
  • Levels: Beginner to advanced (HSK 1–4)
  • Format: In-person and online options available
  • Minimum enrollment: Five nparticipants per class
  • Start Dates : CISU Chinese programmes follow SU calendar
  • Duration: 10 weeks (two 1.5 hours classes per week)

CISU offers non-credit-bearing Chinese language classes for anyone aged 16 or older. Participants develop practical Mandarin skills while learning about Chinese culture. Classes are open to Stellenbosch University students, staff and members of the public.
