Customised corporate and government training

Chinese for business

The Confucius Institute at Stellenbosch University (CISU) offers customised Chinese language and cultural training for corporate organisations, government departments and professional groups.

These programmes support communication, cross-cultural understanding and engagement with Chinese partners in business, education, and public service.

Our programmes include:

  • Business Chinese communication
  • Sector-specific language training (e.g. trade, tourism, education)
  • Chinese culture and professional etiquette
  • Cross-cultural communication and negotiation
  • Chinese language courses from introductory to advanced levels

Programmes can be adapted for beginners or for participants with prior experience in Chinese.

Wellness and cultural enrichment

In addition to language training, CISU offers optional cultural and wellness activities that support engagement with Chinese culture.

These may include:

  • Tai chi sessions focusing on balance and wellbeing
  • Chinese tea culture workshops introducing traditional practices and social customs

These activities can form part of a training programmes or be offered as standalone sessions for team-building or cultural events.
